About The Position

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector at our Auburn, CA location. Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Requirements

• Minimum of five years' experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in manufacturing environment required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence to perform inspections using micrometers, dial-bore gages, comparators, calipers, thread gages, height gages, dial indicators, operating a CMM (pre-made programs).
• General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle.
• Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications.
• Accurate color vision and depth perception.
• Vision corrected to 20/20.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including interfacing with Production Control, Manufacturing Floor Machinists and Technicians, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnel.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
• Familiar with AS9102 First Article Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems with workmanship or process damage.
• Ensure the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic against predetermined specifications, drawings or standards.
• Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components.
• Conducts visual inspections with high level of accuracy to verify physical properties.
• Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed.
• Proactively communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization.
• Enters data into software tools.
• Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.
