About The Position

Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking Quality Inspectors in the Northeastern United States to join our team. This role involves ensuring that construction work meets contract requirements through diligent inspection and reporting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
High level of concentration and attention to detail is required.
Ability to focus on a defined task for extended periods of time.
Ability to utilize technology (i.e. phone, laptop, and tablet) both in the field and office.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.
Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a heavy civil inspector desired.
Procore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Read and understand civil construction drawings.
Interpret and understand contract specifications and local codes.
Interact with crews and client representatives to ensure work meets contact requirements.
Perform field equipment audits.
Write detailed daily reports.
Perform daily inspection and checklists on work in the field.
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Other duties as assigned.
