About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Sector Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. This position will be responsible for verifying that electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet specified drawing/specification and work procedures as well as assisting in documenting work. Examples of hardware include cable assemblies, structural hardware, integrated assemblies, and providing test support. Other duties may include receiving/inspection, calibration of standard inspection equipment, and setting up and measuring parts using standard measuring equipment and tracking and maintaining non-conformance on the floor. The applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
  • Demonstrated experience with standard measurement equipment, i.e. micrometers, calipers, multi-meters, etc.
  • Able to execute inspections or witness acceptance testing and generate test reports.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare inspection reports.
  • Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s and NCR’s
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non-conforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / AS9102 First Article Inspection
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities
