About The Position

This role is for a Quality Inspector, with responsibilities outlined for both Level I and Level II. The position involves ensuring adherence to quality standards through various inspection processes, documentation, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The inspector will use a range of tools and systems to verify product conformity and support production schedules.

Requirements

  • Ability to ensure that all relevant internal and external documentation utilized for inspection purposes is current.
  • Ability to accurately record inspection activities, as required, utilizing the Company’s ERP system.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly prints.
  • Ability to perform inspection by utilizing handheld gages including calipers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Ability to perform final check to ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues.
  • Ability to accurately populate quality assurance documentation using industry terms and definitions.
  • Ability to assist in Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Material Rejection Report (MRR) processes using Syteline to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ability to perform PCD Audits, document results and communicate findings.
  • Ability to participate in 3rd Party audits as necessary.
  • Ability to handle customer supplied products with care.
  • Ability to maintain and reinforce ORIZON’s quality standards to meet customer expectations.
  • Ability to manage time appropriately and respond quickly to all inquiries so that production, quality, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Ability to participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process to ensure true cause has been established and corrected to prevent any reoccurrences.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in implementation of process improvements.
  • Ability to assist Material Review Board (MRB) by clearly identifying and placing nonconforming products in the MRB cage.
  • Ability to maintain an “Ultra C-Lean” working environment by following proper work procedures, ensuring a clean work area, and confirming, at the beginning and end of each shift, that the work area has an accurate inventory of tools.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to safety officials or Quality Supervision.
  • Ability to perform inspection by utilizing laboratory grade equipment (e.g., CMM(s), Scanners, Optical Comparators, Surf analyzers, etc.).
  • Ability to enter data and complete First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports using Net-Inspect.
  • Ability to create and complete Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Material Rejection Report (MRR) processes using Syteline to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ability to capture data and images for use in creating a Power Point Presentation to clearly identify any non-conformances.
  • Ability to train Level I Inspectors to perform inspection and troubleshoot by utilizing laboratory grade equipment including (e.g., CMM(s), Scanners, Optical Comparators, Surf analyzers, etc.).

Responsibilities
