About The Position

This role involves performing final inspections of finished aerospace engine parts and components. The inspector will measure various features and holes on parts or components to determine if they meet customer requirements. This includes visual and dimensional inspections using required gaging and measuring equipment. The inspector must interpret operation sheets and blueprints to ensure parts meet customer criteria. If a part is defective or needs rework, the inspector is responsible for completing the associated paperwork.

Requirements

• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment is a plus
• Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software (highly desirable)
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment (highly desirable)
• Good attitude and a willingness to learn a new trade or skill

Responsibilities
