About The Position

This role involves the final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components. The inspector will measure various features and holes on parts to determine if they meet customer requirements, using both visual and dimensional inspection methods with required gaging and measuring equipment. The position requires interpreting operation sheets and blueprints to ensure parts meet customer criteria. If a part is defective or requires rework, the inspector must complete the associated paperwork.

Requirements

• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment
• Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment
• Good attitude and a willingness to learn a new trade or skill
