About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment. Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-coming, in process and Final inspections of all parts following established procedures. They are also responsible for the proper packing of units that will be shipped to stock and/or customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the ISHIRA test for color blindness.
  • Basic Computer skills and understanding of the MS Office Suites.
  • Ability to read, write, and orally communicate in English and have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have basic operational knowledge of how to use the equipment within the department.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all 5S requirements
  • Update KPI boards on a weekly basis
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ability and willingness to abide by Company’s Code of Conduct
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods of time
  • Occasional travel, some overnight, as required

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and electrical inspection of various items using a vision measuring system and hand tools such as calipers, micrometer, force gauges etc. and electrical equipment such as LCR meter and multimeter.
  • Maintain records of items inspected and packed.
  • Ensure all parts/runs received in the department are acknowledged in the IQA system.
  • Read assembly & mechanical drawings to determine specific requirements.
  • Verify, complete, and sign the required documentation provided on the IQA database.
  • Enter inspection record in Pre-encap Inspection & Final Inspection database.
  • Verify part numbers against the documentation provided and ensure that the correct number of components was received.
  • Understand and follow all relevant written and verbal instructions in the Inspection Plan & process.
  • Report and share findings with Group Supervisor and Assistant Group Leader.
  • Comply with ESD guidelines and regulations.
  • Items to be inspected include PC boards, switches, cores, connectors, resistors, chip capacitors, enclosures and covers, cables, amplifiers, machined parts & packaging materials, etc. as per assembly drawings and specific criteria under supervision.
  • Visual inspection is required using a microscope and magnifying lamp.
  • Perform simple tests such as resistance to solvents, DC continuity, and material composition using an XRF machine.
  • Identify and segregate defective units/materials.
  • Capture photographs of reject and sample units.
  • Pack units for shipment according to established company packing procedures in Arena
