About The Position

The Quality Inspector provides inspection services to ensure products meet the correct specifications for customers. The position inspects incoming, in-process, and final products; collects and maintains vendor certificates and certificates of conformance (COCs); and documents non-conformances for vendor-supplied items. It also performs filing, word processing, copying, and emailing, along with other duties assigned by the manager. The role interacts with supervisors, the Quality Manager, engineers, project managers, other Armor employees, and customers regarding issues and concerns. Work takes place in an office setting, with frequent inspections in the manufacturing plant.

Requirements

• Be organized and efficient.
• Have analytical skills.
• Use the correct gauging approach to perform metrology.
• Read blueprints.
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Have advanced knowledge and proficiency with MS Office.
• Be able to handle multiple and changing responsibilities.
• Demonstrate Armor’s core values: customer focused, passionate about work, solution oriented, and driven by integrity.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have at least 3 years of inspection experience, including common precision hand gages and techniques.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in fixture design and fabrication.

• Two-year degree.
