About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. The Quality Inspector performs all duties of an “A” level inspector, visually and dimensionally inspecting structural components for conformance with standards. The role verifies specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment; follows safety rules and procedures; and maintains and completes required records. The position is located in Belen, New Mexico. Work takes place in plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas, as well as on plant grounds. The role may require coverage beyond normal hours or shifts and on weekends or holidays. Employees must tolerate high and low temperatures and manufacturing-plant noise. Overtime, including Saturday overtime, may be needed, and the schedule is subject to change. The inspector is also expected to contribute to a results-driven culture by developing employees’ potential, caring for customers, optimizing operations, and integrating sustainability into daily practices and long-term strategy.

Requirements

Ability to operate a micrometer, gauges, calipers, tape lines, and a computer.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to function as a team member.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.

Nice To Haves

Two or three years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Read drawings and blueprints.
Perform and oversee visual and measured inspections using measurement instruments and inspection equipment.
Perform and oversee visual weld inspections.
Complete inspection records and reports.
Follow and observe safety practices, rules, and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
