About The Position

Kerr Industries is a leading company specializing in modifying brand new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles, upfitting more police vehicles than any other company in North America. We are seeking a detail-oriented and hard-working quality inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties, including frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling. This role may involve field work, varying work hours, and overtime. Successful candidates must demonstrate daily attendance and a readiness to learn, as all training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a quality-focused role.
  • Detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
  • Constructive team player with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with electronics.
  • Experience working with automotive.
  • Experience working with tools and other hands-on activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all interim and final inspections on upfitted vehicles, working and reporting directly with the Production Manager and Quality Manager.
  • Inspect all upfitted vehicles.
  • Ensure all options per work order are installed.
  • Read build documents to ensure vehicles are built to specifications outlined by Kerr and the customer.
  • Maintain attention to detail throughout the inspection process.
