About The Position

As an In-Process Quality Inspector, you are the on-the-floor checkpoint for build quality during Assembly, Integration and Test. Working inside our cleanroom, you make sure flight hardware is assembled, handled and documented correctly at every step - checking the work against drawings and instructions, confirming the right parts are used, and keeping our contamination and ESD discipline tight. This role is based in Denver, Colorado, where we are building a high-performing and fast-paced team. The position will be primarily on-site and in person at the office, with occasional travel visiting our headquarters in Europe.

Requirements

  • Technical secondary education or higher in electronics, mechanics or a related field
  • A sharp eye for detail and the patience to do close, careful work
  • Good hands-on coordination - comfortable handling small, delicate parts
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
  • A disciplined, methodical approach to record-keeping
  • The integrity to speak up when something isn't right, even under schedule pressure

Nice To Haves

  • experience in a cleanroom or ESD-controlled environment
  • inspection experience in electronics, aerospace, medical, automotive or another high-reliability field
  • IPC awareness (e.g. IPC-A-610)

Responsibilities

  • Checking hardware during assembly and integration against the work order, drawings and instructions and confirming the correct parts and revisions are used
  • Carrying out visual inspections of boards, cables and mechanical parts for defects, damage or workmanship issues
  • Following the inspection checklist for each operation and confirming each step is done correctly before the next one starts
  • Verifying part numbers, serial/lot numbers and that the matching paperwork is present
  • Recording inspection results clearly and signing off the traveller/route card for completed checks
  • Making sure cleanroom rules are followed - correct gowning, ESD protection, and keeping only approved materials in the room
  • Flagging non-conformances and helping to document them
  • Keeping the inspection area, tools and gauges clean and in order and confirming measuring tools are within calibration before use
  • Taking photos of hardware and defects when required for the records
  • Supporting the AIT technicians by checking their work as they go and pointing out issues early
