About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Quality Inspector in Mossville, IL. This is a 2nd shift position. The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria. They perform quality inspection/audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use. This role involves containing and rectifying non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies through methods such as rework, sorting, scrapping, de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly, and/or disassembly. The inspector determines the necessary tools and equipment for the job and maintains parts and sub-assemblies by grinding, sanding, cleaning, and oiling them. Additionally, the Quality Inspector communicates sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors, and the production source, and utilizes the company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.

  • 1+ year in Quality related position.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
  • Performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
  • Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
  • Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
  • Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.
  • Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.
  • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
