About The Position

As part of the Operations Quality team in McKinney, TX, the Quality Inspector will assure product and process quality with emphasis on Product Compliance using technical documentation / drawings and manufacturing standards. You will have a great and direct impact on our Customer Satisfaction and delivery. Ideal candidate will be expected to travel between facilities on campus on foot on a regular and/or as business requires. Prepare reports and maintain records as required. Meet necessary certifications as required. Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required. This is a 1st shift position. M-F on 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience is in Quality, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers.
  • Experience with drawing and blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Previous experience conducting inspection to the Military Specifications (MIL Specs AS9100 or ISO9001) and Process Specifications.
  • Previous experience performing hardware quality inspections.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Proficient knowledge of Factory Operating Systems (CMES, IMRO, VM).
  • Past experience in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect for final acceptance, all types and series of hardware to determine that build, rework, modification and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements.
  • Inspect electronic and/or mechanical hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship and drawing specifications by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints and terminals using appropriate inspection devices.
  • Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.
  • Assist in managing out of flow process for sub-assemblies to ensure compliance to command media.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records as required.
  • Meet necessary certifications as required.
  • Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.
