About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector, 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $20.94 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. As a Quality Inspector, you will perform a broad range of detailed inspection activities to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements. This role involves selecting and applying appropriate inspection tools, techniques, and procedures based on product specifications and customer expectations, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship for this position (no CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, O‑1, E‑3, TN, I‑485 portability, etc.).
  • Relocation is not provided. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Greenwood, SC facility.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs and lift up to 40 lbs with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months+ of manufacturing experience.
  • 3 months+ of experience using hand and air tools.
  • Previous quality experience
  • 1 year+ of experience with MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Utilize measurement instruments and testing equipment to validate product conformance to specifications.
  • Accurately document inspection results, maintain testing and measurement records, and report nonconformance issues.
  • Detect, document, and communicate product defects, process deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, customer, and internal quality standards (e.g., ISO).
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide quality feedback and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze inspection data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform routine audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
