About The Position

This position performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality assurance of manufactured product to ensure compliance with product specifications. It is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer literate
• Ability to use scanner and copier.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality assurance of manufactured product to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Inspects pipes for defects such as blowholes, cracks, and rough spots.
• Weighs and counts pipes, and records inspection data on standard form.
• Communicate with supervisors of quality defect.
• Perform calibration of gauges.
• Suggest changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency of process
