Quality Inspector - Night Shift

About The Position

The Quality Inspector performs in-process and final inspections, evaluates parts against prints and specifications, and supports manufacturing processes and personnel. The role requires understanding inspection methods and adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 requirements. The position reports to the Quality Manager and takes daily direction from shift Lead personnel. It is a night-shift position, Monday through Friday, with a 20% shift differential.

Requirements

5+ years of blueprint reading and GD&T experience.
5+ years of inspection gaging and visual inspection experience.
5+ years of manufacturing experience, including understanding document control and job operations.
Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for documenting inspection results.
General computer knowledge.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Must pass a written exam covering the stated requirements.

Nice To Haves

Aerospace experience is preferred for blueprint reading, GD&T, inspection gaging, and visual inspection.
2+ years of coordinate measuring machines or systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprint and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) requirements.
Comply with customer specifications and requirements.
Use inspection gages such as micrometers, test indicators, Faro Arm, and optical comparator.
Inspect with CMM machines and coordinate systems.
Complete in-process and final inspections as required.
Make mold castings and interpret results using an optical comparator.
Perform visual inspection for defects and UVC’s.
Complete required paperwork, including inspection reports and CMM report review.
