About The Position

3M is seeking Quality Inspector candidates in Clarkston, Georgia. Full-time 2nd Shift & 3rd Shifts available. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Quality Inspector, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• Previous quality inspection experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
• All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M.

• Experience in an aerospace or defense related industry
• Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Inspecting products to determine compliance with order specifications, customer requirements, and company's quality control system
• Assuring compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards
• Excellent visual skills to detect minute non-conformances (ex: cracks, voids, tool marks, etc.)
• Operate small hand tools and process equipment with dexterity
• Work with precision tools and equipment using good judgment to prevent damage to equipment, to understand equipment operation, and to be efficient
• Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
• All employees are expected to contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
