About The Position

Empire Coating Inc is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on unmasking (removing protective materials, performing touch-up paint work and packaging finished products. Our capabilities include Chem Film, Paint, Powdercoat, Industrial Printing, Masking, Solid Film Lube and Blasting. Requirements

  • Experience as a quality control technician or inspector preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
  • Ability to propose effective solutions to improve product quality.
  • Excellent written and vocal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
  • Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Unmasking: Carefully remove masking materials (such as tape, latex and plugs) from parts after painting.
  • Inspection: Inspect unmasked areas for any defects or imperfections.
  • Touch-Up Paint: Apply touch-up paint to correct minor defects (scratches, chips, etc.) in painted finishes. Ensure color matching and consistency.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect parts thoroughly for adherence to quality standards. Document inspection results, including any rework or corrections needed.
  • Sort Parts: Organize and sort parts as per instructions, ensuring proper categorization and preparation for packing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests, ensuring all data is correctly logged.
  • Packaging: Pack parts securely for shipment, ensuring that packaging materials and methods meet company standards.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as updating inventory records, preparing shipping labels, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with the Supervisor to address any issues found during inspection.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
