About The Position

Dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector in ensuring product compliance and adherence to industry standards. Skilled in conducting thorough inspections, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality. Proficient in using various inspection tools and techniques, with a strong focus on maintaining safety and quality protocols. Requirements

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerances
• Experience using measurement tools including calipers, jigs, feeler gauges etc.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word and Excel
• High school Diploma.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small discrepancies and defects, ensuring products meet quality standards.
• Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO) relevant to quality assurance.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to report findings and collaborate with team members.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple inspections and maintain detailed records systematically.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and management.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Quality Assurance Techniques: Knowledge of quality control methodologies such as Measurement-System-Analysis and 8D Problem Solving
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance product quality.
• Responsibility: Should feel responsible for the quality experience of the people at De Jong Duke but also its customers. Should take pride in resolving issues and delivering an excellent experience to people that depend on a measurable result
• Structure/Precision: Should be able to work in a consistent and structured manner. Ideally taking the lead in documenting processes and ensuring uniform work methods.
• Communication: Communicates easily with colleagues, suppliers and customers (when needed) in the right tone and be able to inspire a sense of urgency where needed.
• Initiative: Identifies improvement opportunities and acts on them in coordination with leadership

• Quality or engineering focused education
• Quality or auditing certifications
• Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies (8D reports, MSA studies, Statistical Process Control)
• Experience working in a cross cultural/international environment

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling inspections on incoming supplier components based on defined dimensional and visual requirements
• Evaluate and process rejected parts from production lines according to quality standards
• Accurately record and report measurement results and findings (Excel-based reporting)
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in investigations of quality issues, conducting root cause analysis to determine underlying problems and develop solutions.
