The QC Inspector for manufacturing ensures all manufacturing fabrications, components, assemblies and finished products meet required quality standards before progressing through production or release. Requirements

  • Experience in quality inspection or quality control.
  • Experience within a welding manufacture environment.
  • Basic GD&T knowledge.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect components and assemblies to quality standards for manufacturing.
  • Interpret good quality vs bad quality welds.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications and ensuring the product has been welded correctly.
  • Perform basic weld, dimensional and visual inspections using gauges and measuring tools.
  • Identify, record and report nonconformances.
  • Support defect resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Complete inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures.
  • Maintain safe and organised inspection areas.
  • Other duties as assigned
