About The Position

Perform a variety of inspections to check the quality and accuracy of parts and record in the appropriate systems as needed. This role involves detailed visual inspections and precise measurements using various tools to ensure parts meet quality standards. The inspector will be responsible for recording findings in digital systems and entering defect information as required.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for surface damage (splines and gears).
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for rust.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for burrs.
  • Ability to review and understand print dimensions.
  • Proficiency in measuring external diameters with gages (External Micrometer).
  • Proficiency in measuring internal diameters with gages (Internal Micrometer).
  • Ability to check flatness.
  • Ability to check runout.
  • Ability to check surface finish.
  • Ability to check threaded holes for fit/form/function.
  • Ability to check depths with scale/calipers.
  • Ability to test lot/NPI data recording (Check multiple part dimensions, example size over pins, diameters, lengths, etc).
  • Ability to perform visual inspection of part numbers and check that tags match.
  • Ability to record findings into Digital BIQ.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for paint.
  • Ability to count ladder clips.
  • Ability to count zip ties.
  • Ability to verify presence of dust caps/covers.
  • Ability to verification of plug placement (insertion).
  • Ability to verify no foreign debris on unit.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for rust.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for bolt presence and torque.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection of yolk position.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for presence of snap rings.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for part/arrangement number.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection for serial prefix and tags match.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection of packaging.
  • Ability to verify count of parts in kits (ensure correct part #’s).
  • Ability to verify no debris in hole (axles).
  • Ability to enter defect information into AQE.

Responsibilities

  • Check depths using scales and calipers.
  • Test lot/NPI data recording, including checking multiple part dimensions.
  • Visually inspect part numbers to ensure tags match.
  • Record findings into Digital BIQ.
  • Perform visual inspections for paint on assemblies.
  • Count ladder clips and zip ties.
  • Verify the presence of dust caps/covers and plug placement.
  • Ensure no foreign debris is present on the unit.
  • Visually inspect for rust, bolt presence, and torque.
  • Visually inspect yolk position and the presence of snap rings.
  • Verify part/arrangement numbers and that serial prefixes and tags match.
  • Visually inspect packaging.
  • Verify the count and part numbers of parts in kits.
  • Ensure no debris is in axles.
  • Enter defect information into AQE.
