The Quality Inspector Sr supports Quality activities for Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) as required by procedure. Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience is required.
  • Advanced reading, writing and math skills are required (i.e., 12th grade level).
  • Inspection skills.
  • Knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer info.
  • Basic PC skills are required (i.e., keyboarding skills, basic mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows/Google Workspace) and familiarity with applicable Plexus software packages.
  • Individual will be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Individual will be required to handle a PCB by turning it, flipping it, and angling it.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for use of computer monitor, keyboard and inspection equipment, and individual must meet the visual acuity requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • IPC-A-610 CIS certification preferred.
  • Intermediate manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in root cause analysis activities to identify cause of quality issues.
  • Enters standardized Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)information into Global Shop Floor (GSF).
  • Supervise work area utilizing 6S standards.
  • Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels throughout various stages of production.
  • Visually inspects sub-assemblies and HLA level products are using a magnifier or other tools as well as lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors to keep informed and escalate issues when needed.
  • Must complete training for and become certified for Quality Assurance within six months of obtaining the position and must maintain QA certification to remain in the position.
