Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in quality inspection within aerospace manufacturing
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools and metrology concepts
  • Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/sit/walk for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification
  • Familiarity with AS9100, FAA regulations, and current aerospace quality standards
  • Background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise inspections of incoming parts and materials, verifying conformance to engineering drawings, purchase orders, and specifications
  • Conduct detailed final inspections on outgoing assemblies and products before shipment to guarantee compliance with customer and industry requirements
  • Accurately document inspection results, maintain meticulous records, and ensure all required certifications and reports are complete
  • Apply metrology principles using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges; regularly calibrate and maintain inspection equipment
  • Identify, report, and help resolve non-conformities in partnership with production and engineering teams
  • Stay up-to-date with current aerospace standards and regulations, ensuring all inspections meet compliance requirements
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, providing actionable feedback to refine inspection processes
