Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written comprehension
  • Great problem solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics that include algebra and geometry.
  • A broad understanding of engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of using and calibrating measurement tools such as rulers and calipers.
  • Well versed in ISO: 9000 and AS9100.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person)
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace background is a plus.
  • Experience with composite and metallic structures is a plus.
  • Forklift certification (Available on-site)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
  • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished and unfinished products.
  • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures; including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
  • Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
  • Receive and inspect raw materials.
  • Investigate or report questionable test results.
  • Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
  • Identify quality problems and find solutions.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the quality control manager.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with (ISO 9001 & AS9100), government regulation standards, and agency guidelines.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Monitor and complete projects in a timely manner while staying within budget.
