About The Position

This role involves manufacturing, inspecting, and packaging products according to written processes. The Quality Inspector III will use a microscope for assembling small components and inspecting materials, and will be responsible for meeting or exceeding daily production standards. The position requires performing in-process quality inspections, identifying and escalating quality issues, and complying with all relevant policies, work instructions, procedures, ISO9001, and AS9100 requirements. A clean, safe, and organized work environment must be maintained. The role also includes cross-training across multiple operations within the quality department and preparing and submitting Fai and FAIR packages to customers. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to make product judgements based on procedures and drawings.
  • Ability to operate automated inspection equipment.
  • Ability to utilize variable and attribute measuring equipment to determine product acceptance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Understanding manufacturing practices.
  • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Strong reading skills and visual comprehension.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and schematics.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good arithmetic to perform basic computations.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to complete Assembler Quality System Training.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AS9100D with ISO 9001: 2015 preferred.
  • Trade or vocational school within manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities
