UCT is looking for a talented Quality Inspector II to join us in Phoenix, AZ! The Quality Inspector II blends process auditing, QMS project support, and quality sustaining responsibilities to make sure that products meet standards of quality and safety. Quality Inspectors I and II may be assigned to a specific process area.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and apply production instructions and standards.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software.
  • Basic math abilities.
  • 1-2 years of inspection or quality experience.
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods.
  • Ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree preferred.
  • 4+ years working in a production environment is a plus.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Audit Assess compliance with procedures and standards through process audits, prepare formal audit reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Assess the effectiveness of final visual inspection through part and finished goods audits.
  • Participate as a team member to develop strategies to improve product quality.
  • Support plant-wide calibration program, including preparing gauges and instruments for calibration, assessing calibration results for OOT conditions, and managing calibration records.
  • Support ambient monitoring of cleanrooms.
  • Complete action items associated with audit findings, as assigned.
  • Validate actions taken to address audit findings.
  • Enter and monitor data from Certificates of Analysis for purchased chemicals.
