The Quality Inspector II is responsible for a wide variety of quality inspections and aerospace parts and assemblies and assures compliance to a variety of dimensional and contractual requirements of products with complex geometry and configurations. Sustain a high level of ethics while conducting company business in accordance with the company’s code of ethics and polices inclusive of the ASQ code of ethics Applies Strategic and Critical thinking on a continual basis as it applies to Quality Control Inspection, product compliance and conformance, both for Suppliers and the Company Perform review and verification of compliance of Supplier Purchase Order Quality flow down requirements for received product Perform independent inspections of assigned tasks (documentation reviews ATP, CofC, FAIR, hardware inspection, assembly inspection, tests validation, etc.) using blueprints, specifications, contractual documents, visual inspection methods, etc. Perform inspection of complexed GD&T hardware using a variety of hand and bench tools which may include micrometers, bore gages, depth gages, dial indicators, drop indicators, height gages, etc. Tools may also include optical comparators, hardness checkers, profilometers, etc. Communicate, Lead and Coach inner company departments regarding Quality Control activities/developments and Quality objectives Implements Supplier Quality procedures Support developing strategies in association with direct management, Supply Chain Management/Purchasing and Engineering to provide visibility for identified Risks associated with doing business with current suppliers as a result of quality trends Create Supplier and internal Nonconformance reports when required Provide leadership, technical training and act as a mentor for Level B (II) and Level C (I) Quality Control Inspectors Provide technical assistance and training to Inspection personnel regarding mechanical inspection techniques, product and document verification, and other product evaluation methods as needed Perform other tasks as may be assigned by management
