About The Position

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing all tasks in a safe and responsible manner, operating various inspection equipment, and interpreting technical documents to ensure product quality. This role involves initiating non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and assisting in the training of junior staff. The position requires adherence to company and OSHA safety procedures and daily protocols.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate inspection equipment (CMM, Micro Height, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, UT Machine, Magnetic particle yokes).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, standard operating procedures, and customer/regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to perform machine set up verification and first article inspections.
  • Ability to initiate non-conformance reports and quality records.
  • Ability to initiate corrective action requests.
  • Ability to meet 2 NDE requirements.
  • Company certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
  • Ability to perform all job duties of lower level inspections.
  • Proficiency in company and OSHA safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts according to established documents and requirements.
  • Perform machine set up verification and first article inspections.
  • Initiate non-conformance reports and other required quality records.
  • Initiate corrective action requests for repetitive quality issues.
  • Meet 2 NDE requirements and be a company-certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
  • Perform all job duties of lower-level inspections.
  • Assist in training of lower-level employees.
  • Perform daily and regular cleaning in the work area.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Report problems to Managers, Supervisors, and Group Leaders.
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
