About The Position

The primary role for the Quality Inspector is to perform inspections of parts, assemblies, and documentation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • 2 years of experience with mechanical and visual inspection of parts and assemblies.
  • 2 years of experience using business class software in a professional employment setting.

  • Report and interpret key data findings

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Previous experience with Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Previous experience with interpreting Engineering Drawings, Workmanship Standards, Military and Federal Specifications, and basic GD&T (Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Previous experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102
  • ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on parts and products, including but not limited to mechanical and visual inspections.
  • Work to approved inspection checklists, engineering drawings, purchase orders, work instructions and specifications.
  • Utilize Non-Conforming Material Control process to document parts that do not meet specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
