About The Position

The Quality Inspector I performs routine inspections and measurements to ensure manufactured products meet documented quality specifications. This role identifies and documents nonconformances, uses basic inspection and measurement tools, follows calibration and quality procedures, and supports safe, efficient production operations. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. This is a 2nd Shift position, working 3pm-11:30pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-1 years’ experience as an inspector in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Able to work and contribute independently in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
  • Skilled or demonstrates the ability to use a variety of measurement equipment including calipers, pin gage set, height gage, test indicator, micrometer, dial indicator, surface plate, optical comparator, smart scope, and coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Possess computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Excel (SAP desired but not required).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of basic math and geometry.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspection on manufactured or other process outputs against documented Entegris specifications e.g. Product Control Plan, inspection procedures and other site quality control documentation.
  • Maintains awareness of customer complaints and internal rejections of the product being inspected.
  • Follows all discrepant material control procedures.
  • Notifies inspection supervisors and process owners of any detected discrepancies.
  • May perform basic First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Maintains proper use and care of measurement equipment; ensures equipment calibration is current per the Calibration Schedule before use.
  • Utilizes a variety of measurement tools to accurately perform measurements.
  • Measures product with required equipment as defined on documentation.
  • Maintains current and appropriate inspection documentation in product files.
  • Documents all discrepancies between the product and the written specifications per procedures using SAP Quality Notifications (QNs).
  • Follows site control of non-conforming procedures.
  • Verifies current revision history of documentation prior to use.
