Quality Inspector I - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Apogee Architectural Metals is a segment of Apogee specializing in aluminum framing, windows, storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems. We provide integrated capabilities, including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication and assembly, across North America. Through our brands including Alumicor, EFCO, Linetec, Tubelite, and Wausau, we deliver quality, consistency, and value-added services throughout our portfolio. The Quality Inspector I - 2nd Shift performs repetitive inspection following standardized methods and procedures. This role visually inspects or checks parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples, and checks dimensions against blueprint or work order specifications. This role may work in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use basic inspection instruments.
- Ability to read and understand basic product specifications and work instructions.
- Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
- Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
- Ability to follow blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
- Comprehend and follow instructions.
- Perform assigned tasks.
- Maintain an appropriate work pace.
- Maintain accuracy in work completed.
- Support continuous work culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive inspection following standardized methods and procedures.
- Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples.
- Check dimensions against blueprint or work order specifications.
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain detailed records of testing processes and outcomes.
- Identify and document any non-conformances or deviations from standards.
- Must be cross-trained and able to support all Quality Inspector I roles.
- Work in other departments as needed.
