About The Position

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for the performance of routine mechanical or visual inspections per the technical documentation provided using pre-trained/determined methods to determine product acceptability. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No previous quality experience required.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
  • Expected to contribute in some areas of inspection for which training has been provided.
  • Time management skills.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and training needed.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Collect inspection data when asked and shown by inspectors or supervision.
  • Ability to learn blueprint reading, GD&T, and platework from experienced inspectors and/or supervision and on the job.
  • Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
  • May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
  • May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Participate in some 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain work area in accordance with 5S standard.
