About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electromechanical components, with a focus on critical features and adherence to drawing intent. This role involves compiling inspection reports, verifying equipment and methodology, auditing inspection plans, and providing regular progress reports. The inspector will also conduct supplier factory audits, drive the closure of non-conformances, and support customer witness testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). A key aspect of this role is representing Google on-site, ensuring equipment compliance before shipment to Data Centers, and inspecting mechanical assemblies and wiring diagrams.

Requirements

  • Experience with inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Welding experience and inspection techniques of weld integrity.
  • 5 years professional experience OR 3 years with ASME or CWI certification.

  • Ability to read diagram for wiring assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of products or services from external providers.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of critical features.
  • Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects.
  • Verify that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing sites ramp progress, equipment quality performance, and delivery details by Data Center site.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of supplier factories and report results.
  • Drive closure of non-conformance findings.
  • Ensure supplier's quality control system documents findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment.
  • Validate equipment acceptability and compliance to the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment.
  • Act as the on-site support representing Google.
  • Inspect rivets and mechanical assembly.
  • Read diagrams for wiring assembly.
