About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of an MRP system and Microsoft Office (Access, Word, and Excel).
  • Acceptable vision test results.
  • Must have English reading, writing and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, and understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A U.S. person according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Approve receiving inspection of materials supplied by sub-tier suppliers used to produce finished product
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections for in-process, completed parts and core blanket assemblies in accordance with The Gill Corporation and/or customer specifications
  • Understand and follow internal inspection procedures and maintain inspection records
  • Utilize a variety of inspector tools to include calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, scales, and protractors
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Perform First Piece, Lot and Final inspections against customer requirements
  • Conduct in-depth review and be able to properly interpret acceptance criteria in accordance with customer purchase order and specifications, including industry standards
  • Properly tag, label and segregate nonconforming material and generate non-conformance reports
  • Process the release and transfer of accepted product into MRP database (SAP)
  • Perform First Article inspections in accordance with AS9102 standard
  • Compile and confirm the accuracy of customer required shipment paperwork
  • Work in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Report any unsafe work conditions to Safety Manager, supervisor, or management
  • Other duties as assigned
