About The Position

The Quality Inspector 2 Machinery role involves using predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products. This includes inspecting coating systems, electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. The inspector will utilize various measuring devices, and will be responsible for accepting, rejecting, or reworking defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Work is performed from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawings, inspection instructions, and checklists. The role may also involve monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures, and performing line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years additional education and/or related experience
Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience
May require certification

Nice To Haves

Ability to inspect at great heights and inside confined spaces
Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb when required
Basic computer skills
Ability to read a blueprint

Responsibilities
