About The Position
The Quality Inspection Technician (Wafer Inspection) sets up and operates automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment. The role is part of the Hardware component manufacturing team at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and is an on-site position. It reports to the Director of Manufacturing. The technician works with highly technical equipment to help ensure product performance, monitors process controls for compliance with production and process specifications, and logs data in accordance with CGMPs and a Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Associate degree with 0–1+ years of experience, or multiple years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work with highly precise equipment, including microscopes, lathes, ultrasonic cleaners, lasers, and chemicals.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand for 7 hours per day.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to travel to Florida during training.
- Experience with ISO 13485 or CGMP.
- Experience within a Quality Management System.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment.
- Work with highly technical equipment to ensure product performance.
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.
- Log data following CGMPs and a Quality Management System.
