About The Position

Supervise all inspection and inspectors. Coordinate inspection with Project Managers, Production Supervisors, and Source Inspection. Coordinate source inspection with Production Supervisors.

Requirements

Must be familiar with fabrication and precision dimensional inspection methods and NDT.
Must be proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
Must be computer literate.
Must be proactive in solving potential problems before they occur.
Able to make independent decisions and find new ways to eliminate time waste.
Must be able to motivate people, foster teamwork, and enforce personnel policies in a positive manner.
Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and management.
Must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships of trust, unity, and partnering with team members, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

Responsible for employee reviews, vacation slips, and documenting disciplinary action taken.
Train and review job requirements with QC team members.
Review shipping dates and estimated hours and hold team members accountable for achieving set deadlines.
Produce well organized concise reports in a timely manner.
Verify that all required inspection is complete and that all documentation has been accumulated.
Provide guidance, direction, and training to other inspectors as directed by QC manager.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and PETERSEN personnel.
Proficient in using, understanding, and applying all codes, standards, and specifications imposed on PETERSEN INC.
Provide safety equipment.
Maintain safe environment.
Must be able to motivate and supervise people.
Must be able to establish and maintain trust, unity, and partnering with management, team members and customers.
Requires documentation of employee actions, i.e. disciplinary actions and time records.
Must possess good communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
