About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Improvement Specialist to support quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives within a leading healthcare organization. This role will partner with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and drive projects that enhance patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Improvement experience.
  • Experience analyzing healthcare data and driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience conducting chart reviews, audits, and quality monitoring activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • RN or BSN preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinical service line leaders to identify and implement quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze clinical data, documentation, and patient records to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Information Systems teams to extract data, generate reports, and monitor quality performance metrics.
  • Perform concurrent chart reviews and retrospective medical record reviews to support regulatory and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of quality data through observation, monitoring, and validation efforts.
  • Support data visualization and reporting efforts to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Review documentation related to hospital-acquired conditions, preventable conditions, and other regulatory quality measures.
  • Educate and consult with clinical staff and leadership on quality findings, documentation accuracy, and improvement opportunities.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma, TeamSTEPPS, and Just Culture methodologies to improve patient safety and care quality.
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, including support of the annual Leapfrog Survey and quality outcome presentations.
