About The Position

The Quality Improvement Coordinator is a clinical RN role that supports a high-functioning Quality Department by providing operational, administrative, project, clinical review, and reporting support to the Director of Clinical Quality & Patient Experience and the Director of Quality Data and Reporting. The RN uses clinical expertise to review and interpret data, drill down into charts and cases, and evaluate the quality and safety of care against evidence-based standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. This position helps advance quality, safety, patient experience, regulatory readiness, and data integrity through coordinated workflows, organized communication, standardized documentation, and reliable follow-through across departmental priorities. The coordinator serves as a central resource for department operations, committee structure, reporting cycles, clinical performance improvement initiatives, and patient experience processes, including complaint and grievance support.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate Degree in nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting (Med-Surg, ICU, Emergency Department, or relevant specialty)
  • Current Kansas Registered Nurse License

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
  • Experience participating in quality improvement, patient safety, or clinical work
