This role works with the Director of Quality and other leaders to plan, design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality improvement program. A key focus is the dedicated responsibility for sepsis-related performance opportunities, trends, barriers, outcomes, and action planning. The position involves coordinating and overseeing sepsis quality improvement activities, supporting compliance with various initiatives, and collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quality and sepsis data. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of data definitions, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements is crucial. This role also coordinates multidisciplinary sepsis improvement work across various departments to reduce variation in care and support sustained performance improvement. Participation in staff meetings, quality committees, and sepsis workgroups, along with providing education and feedback, is expected. Support for optimizing electronic medical record systems and utilizing software applications for reporting and presentations is also a component of this role, requiring strong communication, teamwork, analytical, project leadership, and interdepartmental influence skills.
