About The Position

The Quality Improvement and Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting Sampson Regional Medical Center's (SRMC) mission of excellence in patient care delivery and outcomes. The coordinator, in collaboration with the Quality Service Department, will utilize a data-driven, and best practices approach to measurably improve processes and patient outcomes. Strategies will include infection prevention and process improvement principles. The coordinator will be responsible for data collection and analysis for improvements, staff education, and regulatory reporting. The coordinator will support regulatory readiness and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed without restrictions in North Carolina or a compact license state
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Critical thinking skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Infection control certification preferred or obtained in the first two years of employment
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital experience preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience in infection control and/or quality improvement
  • Intermediate Excel skills preferred
