About The Position
Directly works with quality supervisory personnel to ensure that the manufactured product conforms with specifications and achieves superior quality and reliability. Ensures products meet customer specifications and requirements. Is a key overseer of quality and thus the company's viability in the market.
Requirements
- Must be able to work OT, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on finished pipe and tubing products including OD, Gauge, OAL Straightness, Hooked end checks, visual inspection for superficial defects, and verifies the mill stencil.
- Verify calibrations of tool assigned as required.
- Informs Quality and Production Supervisors of any discrepancies during the inspection process.
- Assists in verifying validity of flattening tests performed by the Straightener operator.
- Follow procedures, work instructions and company policies related to his or her work area.
- Ability and general knowledge to safely operate acetylene torch, plasma arc torch, hand grinder, forklift, overhead cranes, and other related shop equipment.
- Basic housekeeping in general work area.
- Perform any and all other operational requirements for safe and efficient use including any lock-out tag-out procedures.
