About The Position

The Quality Engineering Technician will support Quality initiatives including improvements, incident investigations, and root cause/corrective action determinations. This role involves supporting and initiating containment activities for quality spills into Finished Goods and Shipping, including purges, sorting, and rework. The technician will also investigate material shortages, mixed stock, and incorrect parts issued from the Stockroom. Additionally, they will support Customer Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activities in real-time, investigate, repair, or replace defective material, work with Quality Engineers to re-test FAT material, provide Bill of Materials reviews and serialization assignments, and review revision history of assigned components. The role also includes supporting customer escape reduction initiatives, creating and updating inspection plans and procedures, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the Quality Team, and managing work priorities based on the work queue and incidental work requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience

Responsibilities

  • Support Quality initiatives including improvements; incident investigations; RC/CA determinations.
  • Support/initiate containment activities for FF quality spills into Finished Goods and Shipping including purges, sorting and rework.
  • Support part removal or part swapping in completed (packed) orders awaiting shipment.
  • Investigate material shortages, mixed stock and/or wrong parts issued from the Stockroom.
  • Support Customer FAT activities real-time for Programs including investigating, repairing and/or replacing defective material as required; working with FF QE’s to have FAT material re-tested as necessary; providing BOM reviews and serialization assigned; reviewing rev history of assigned components; etc.
  • Support customer escape reduction initiatives.
  • Create inspection plans and notes; update existing procedures.
  • Support teamwork and collaboration efforts within the Quality Team.
  • Manage work priorities based on work queue and incidental work requests.
