About The Position

Under general direction, monitors, tests, and inspects products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed. This role involves supervision of technicians and requires a degree of creativity and latitude in monitoring, testing, and inspecting products. The supervisor may work in laboratory settings, running tests and duplicating real-world conditions using various tools to aid in quality inspections and assessments. Participation in the development of testing and inspection activities throughout product development and manufacturing stages is key. The role also includes performing internal audits, participating in root cause analysis, and reviewing/creating work instructions and inspection procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to supervise technicians
• Ability to monitor, test, and inspect products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed.
• Proficiency in using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and electronic inspection equipment.
• Experience in participating in the development of testing and inspection activities.
• Ability to define and conduct systematic/methodical and random/arbitrary tests.
• Experience in performing internal audits of processes.
• Knowledge of inspection results and statistical techniques for product analysis.
• Experience in participating in root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ability to analyze audit results and determine proper corrective and preventative action.
• Ability to review and create work instructions, inspection forms, records, techniques, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Reviews CMM and FARO reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of testing and inspection activities associated with product development and all stages of manufacturing.
• Defines and conducts both systematic/methodical and random/arbitrary tests to ensure proper performance of Axillon products.
• Performs internal audits of processes using inspection results and statistical techniques to provide timely, accurate product analysis.
• Participates in root cause analysis initiatives for process-related concerns.
• Analyzes audit results and determines proper corrective and preventative action.
• Reviews and creates work instructions, inspection forms, records, techniques, and procedures for accuracy and relevance and provide changes when necessary.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned
