About The Position

The Quality Engineering Analyst II - Commercial Lending ensures the quality and stability of a business-critical commercial loan platform supporting the organization's lending operations. The role develops testing plans, identifies gaps in requirements, and helps develop solutions for complex IT systems. It applies problem-solving and communication skills to assess system performance, meet software quality standards throughout the development lifecycle, and address potential problems and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of Software Quality Engineering or other relevant IT industry or banking experience.
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies, including test planning, test execution, gap analysis, requirements traceability, and defect management.
• Experience participating on project teams and incorporating testing activities into project plans.
• Experience with one or more functional or regression testing tools.
• Understanding of quality assurance as part of the development process.

Nice To Haves

• Project Management experience.
• Financial industry experience.
• Experience validating APIs using Postman, Swagger, Playwright, or similar technologies, with an understanding of automation testing concepts and best practices.
• Previous experience supporting financial services and/or lending or loan origination applications, including validation of complex business rules and loan workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define testing plans, identify requirements gaps, and propose testing hypotheses for simple program or system changes.
• Identify interfacing and related programs or systems for functional test cases; execute batch and functional testing and automate test scripts.
• Execute tests and validate results to determine which issues require attention from the development team.
• Collaborate with developers to fix issues.
• Support regression testing initiatives and contribute to automation opportunities where appropriate.
• Assist with root cause analysis and validation of production issues as needed.
