About The Position

PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Full Time Quality Engineer for the Tulsa plant. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft. The Quality Engineer provides a high level of leadership and support of Quality department personnel. Will incorporate processes to assure products are procured, designed, manufactured, tested and shipped in accordance with customer and internal QMS requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Minimun of Associate's degree in manufacturing or quality related field required.
  • Direct experience as a Quality Engineer may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • 2+ years working experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years working as an inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 & AS9100, SPC Implementation.
  • Knowledgeable in blueprint reading, modeling, GD&T and DPD/MBD
  • Intermediate computer skills utilizing spreadsheets, MRP systems, and other computer software relative to the Quality function.
  • Must be able to pass a vision test.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primary interface for customer, industry and internal quality audits
  • Initiate internal process and compliance audits.
  • Drive level I & II CARs including reporting of correction action effectiveness with objective evidence.
  • Create quality plans for new products.
  • Monitor QMS process parameters and reporting to management.
  • Implement and revise procedures and support process improvement teams as CI champion.
  • Initiate surveys for supplier approval, perform remote supplier audits, track performance and generate SCAR's.
  • Responsible for oversight of all non-conforming activities including NCR, DMR, RMA and NOE.
  • Oversight of document control, calibration processes of both measuring instruments and equipment and periodic checks of production tooling.
  • Support the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
