Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years directly related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Business acumen, will act as business partner to Operations
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Demonstrated experience in 5S, Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt preferred, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • Minitab or JMP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Application of analytical tools to drive improvement in foam quality and continually achieve variation reduction.
  • Perform internal scrap cost analysis and drive scrap cost reduction projects.
  • Support Quality Technicians with addressing production issues and improvement opportunities via problem solving techniques.
  • Participate in New product/process development, qualification, and establishment of “Safe Launch” Plans.
  • Track, Report, and drive improvement in direct material suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
  • Performs product inspection and audits products and/or systems for conformance to standard.
  • Performs weekly CTQ audit and reporting to drive continual improvement.
  • Facilitate best practices benchmarking between TPVA, TPNM, TPIN and other facilities.
  • Assists in problem investigation and resolution.
  • Periodically support the laboratory including, performing laboratory tests, and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols while operating requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
