About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Associate in Troy, AL to support program and/or functional Quality. This role involves interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel. You will investigate and work non-conformance issues through to root cause and corrective action, and seek continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities. Responsibilities include completing Hardware Quality Audits (HQA's) and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs, working audit findings to root cause, and implementing corrective and preventive measures. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, Mechanical or Industrial engineering degree, or in a related technical field from an accredited college.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
  • Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • VBA coding skills (Excel)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Quality discipline internship or DoD industry internship.
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment.
