Primary Objective The Quality Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in product quality, processes, and systems. This role will focus on corrective action management, process improvement initiatives, development of quality metrics, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including leading internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing practices.
  • Proficiency in project management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., FMEA, 5-Whys, lean).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to travel globally (up to 10%)

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CQE or Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Corrective Action Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure timely response and closure of customer, supplier, and internal corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable solutions.
  • Process Improvement Identify opportunities to reduce defects, variation, and waste within manufacturing and business processes.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality tools to improve process capability and efficiency.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain to standardize best practices.
  • Project Management Plan, coordinate, and lead projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to achieve project objectives.
  • Track milestones, manage risks, and provide status updates to leadership.
  • Metrics Development Define and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate quality trends to leadership.
  • Analyze data to identify systemic issues and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • ISO 9001 Knowledge & Audit Leadership Maintain a deep understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and ensure company compliance.
  • Lead internal audits, manage audit schedules, and support external certification audits.
  • Train and mentor employees on ISO 9001 processes and quality management system requirements.
