About The Position

Essity Health and Medical Solutions North America is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at our Manchester, CT location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective handling of customer complaints and maintaining the integrity of material and product specifications. You will lead internal audits for the Integrated Management System and drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safe.
  • Assures legal compliance in quality matters.
  • Develops standards for Quality measurements in Laboratory and on the Lines.
  • Secures the availability and the right implementation of standard documentation.
  • Keeps the specifications for material and product / article specifications updated.
  • Develops the capabilities tools to assure the right follow up of processes and products and trains RST, quality department and operation crews regarding quality subjects e.g. product specification, quality checks, SPC, validation routines etc.
  • Supports continuous improvement following Daily Direction Setting (DDS) zero loss flowchart or/and SGA/FI in line with Business Needs.
  • Reports consumer complaints and Quality KPI’s to Site, Unit and more specific to Production Lines.
  • Identifies and make available quality improvements and performs quality benchmarks between Lines, Teams and other factories.
  • Supports the Process Engineers and Technical Team in the impact on improvements in Quality issues.
